Brief Bio: Gerald Taylor 

 

Gerald Taylor, a native of California, relocated to Texas in 2011.

Gerald was a Master Chef and philanthropist. In 2012 he was 

given the vision to make a desolate piece of property  of Bear 

Community Church into the city's first Community Garden. The 

garden was originally named the Bear Creek Community Church

Garden of Irving. The garden was renamed in honor of Gerald

after he lost the long battle against cancer in 2013. .
